Technical conditions for Caterpillar of 1E1839
1. Scope
The technical conditions apply to wear resistant steel plates of 1E1839 with thickness not more than 60mm used for Caterpillar's construction machinery.
2. Adopt standard:
WYJ502-2008 Standard Specification for High-Yield-Strength, Quenched and Tempered wear resistant Steel Plate, Suitable for Welding
ASTM A6/A6M Standard Specification for General Requirements for Rolled Structural Steel Bars, Plates, Shapes, and Sheet Piling
ASTM A370 Standard Test Methods and Definitions for Mechanical Testing of Steel Products
3. Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation
The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation shall meet the requirements of ASTM A6/A6M.
Flatness: 4mm/m, waves of plate no more than 3 place per meter.
4. Technical conditions
4.1 Chemical composition (Ladle and product analysis)
The chemical composition of plates shall be accordance with the following table 1.

4.3 Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of 1E1839 shall meet the requirement as table 3.

4.4 Surface quality
The surface quality of plates shall be not bubble, scab, cracking, folded, entrainment, pockmark, Indentation oxide scale and etc surface defects.
4.5 Test method and inspection rules
Test items, sampling quantity, sampling method and test method shall conform to table 4.

5. Package, marking and certificate
Package, marking and certificate shall conform to ASTM A6/A6M.
6. Witness (Inspection) Point (WP): The designated feature is to be witnessed by INSPECTOR. Gloria steel is to notify INSPECTOR one week, prior to performing the designated feature. If the INSPECTOR fails to be present, activities may proceed without witnessing or waiving of the inspection as will be decided by BUYER.
7. Delivery conditions
The delivery conditions for plates of 1E1839 shall be Quenched + Tempered.
8. Other requirements
The other requirements for plates of 1E1839 shall be accordance with 1E0577/0682.
