Technical conditions for plates of S275J0

1.       Scope

The technical conditions apply to plates of S275J0 with thickness not more than 150mm. (8mm-150mm)

2.       Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation

The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation shall meet the requirements of EN10029 class B.

3.       Technical conditions

3.1   Chemical composition (Ladle analysis)

The chemical composition of plates shall be accordance with the following table 1.

3.2   Steel making process: EAF+LF/VD

3.3   Carbon equivalent (CEq)

Carbon equivalent shall be not more than 0.42 for plates of S275J0.

Carbon equivalent shall be calculated as follows:

CEq=C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15 (%)

3.4   Mechanical properties

The mechanical properties of S275J0 shall meet the requirement as table 2.

3.5   Surface quality

The surface quality of plates shall be accordance with EN10025-2-2004

3.6   Ultrasonic inspection

Plates shall be ultrasonic inspected per EN10160-1999 S2E2.

3.7   Direction of Thickness

Through thickness tension testing shall be done according to EN10164 (%Re ≥ 25)

3.8   Test method and inspection rules

Test items, sampling quantity, sampling method and test method shall conform to table 4.

4.       Package, marking and certificate

Package, marking and certificate shall conform to EN10028-1.

5.       The third party inspection

The chemical composition, tensile test and Charpy -V impact test for plates of S275J0 shall be witnessed by surveyor of client.

6.       Delivery conditions

The delivery conditions for plates of S275J0 shall be Normalized.
